I've decided to include save files with my releases to promote openness in the chip community and to help people to learn a few tricks. This is the second best release I have gotten in the past year of me listening to chipmusic.
Great work! New people can see how the program works in a song to get a bearing on things. I think this is the best way to learn.
Thanks for doing this Zef. Thanks guys! By the way, the release just got picked up by the Bitmasters netlabel as well as the NoiseChannel netlabel! Thanks for the support! Just had a mooch through the save files, learnt a couple of new tricks! Precompiled binaries can be found under releases. Bug reports can be filed in issues. Feature requests can also be added there, appropriately labeled. Developers that would like to help out are warmly invited to do so.
This project is open source for a reason; I know the chiptune scene as a loving and caring, open community, and to me this seems like a good way to give back.
I personally have little experience with open sourcing code, and view this as a good opportunity to gain some. Special thanks for Defense Mechanism urbster1 ,. Skip to content. Star Branches Tags. The program comes with a sequencer to structure and compose your own tracks and music, while it also offers the user a whole host of samples including drum beats sampled from fifteen separate machines and synthesizers.
The sound produced is surprisingly good, as the Gameboy sound chip offers four separate channels of 4-bit sound and therefore goes well beyond the traditional C64 chord stylings. Sadly the cartridges for Little Sound DJ, are no longer in production. However you may be able to pick one up from auction websites such as www.
Furthermore the game can now be downloaded from a number of sites to be played across different platforms via a Gameboy emulator.
